Brand Identity
The Bolt is the name of a hardcover photobook created by Jack Walker. Based off the Minimal Man song Pull Back the Bolt, the photographic sequence depicts six months in Europe through my eyes. The Bolt represents fearlessness and pushing against limitations and doubt.

Photos from The Bolt, all shot on 35mm. Photos range from travel, fashion, and curiosity,
The objective of the project was to connect different genres of photography to create a message and narrative.

Typography/Branding/Graphic Design
Using different elements of design ranging from my passport to a stack of Milanese postcards from the 60s to create a new marketable image to support the concept of the book. I also created the typeface for the cover of the book.
I hosted an exhibition in Costa Mesa, Ca to promote the book. I introduced the project via Instagram and Tik Tok using custom videos and visuals I created to align with the project's identity. The Book was released on August 22nd, 2024 and the exhibition lasted until October 20th, 2024.

Introduction Video: "The Bolt"
Using stop motion, I compiled over 1400 35mm photos into a quick introduction video to announce the video to the public.

Supporting Advertisment:
While fascinated with textiles and textures in photography I used AI t create a unique variety of textures which I applied to the phrase and motto "Pull Back The Bolt"

Recap/Thank you video:
As a thank you I recapped all of the footage from the opening to show my love for those who supported me.
Filming by Josh Walker and Luca Pantel
Exhibiton:
The exhibition for The Bolt was a culmination of gratitude, hard work, and celebration. After 6 months in Europe and three months of editing, printing, framing, and assembling, the exhibition was ready to launch. The opening included screenprinting, wine, beer, and tacos. I was fortunate enough to show my work for the next two months. The photos resided at Neat Coffee where they hung over customers and added an element of decoration to an already vibrant community. Because of the exhibition, Neat has launched an artist program that displays new artists in the community monthly.

Route 2-21
As a young artist it feels like my age is something that's constantly held against me. In all aspects of life actually, from work, to school, even in the dating world (I aim up). At this point I was fed up. I had been told I was too young for far to long now. I decided to venture to the only place where I was an adult. And that would be the state of Oregon where my Fake ID proclaimed me as a mature 24yr old. With that being said I took a 1000-mile road trip to Portland Oregon where I could be he man I new I'd always been.

Only three months after The Bolt exhibit I decided to take on one more project before the year was over. After driving 2000+ miles it was time to introduce Route 2-21. I began by posting this intro as a promotion for the new project

The project aimed to complete a road trip to the address of my fake ID (pictured on the left) and to photograph the journey along the way. Once completed, I created a Zine with all of the photos and hosted a pop up exhibition on my 21st birthday to celebrate.

Street Photography
Photos taken while traveling from city to city. Capturing the moment in between, also known as the silver lining.

"Used Boxing Gloves," by Jackson Walker
This project entailed a mix of photos and videos to create a mixed-media motion collage—all photos shot on film and digital to combine a unique and fresh look.

"Remind Me to Forget" by Jackson Walker
A mixed media combination of film, digital scans, and intense scrapbooking, Remind Me to Forget is my use of street photography to tell a narrative and piece together a story about being stuck in the "in between."

Portraits by Jackson Walker
To me, portraiture has always been a sacred part of my craft. Portraits are what attracted me to photography and they are also what keeps me into photography. It's almost a full circle. I specialize in artistic and editorial portraiture.

"Fencers" by Jackson Walker
Fencers is an original concept shot, directed, and arranged by Jackson Walker. This was the first time I created a concept, hired a crew, arranged a team, shot and filmed all for my project. The full video release is TBD, but in the meantime, these photos show proof of the original concept. (2023)
